What we collect

Comments (blog)

When you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the comment form, your IP address, and browser user-agent to help with spam prevention and moderation.

Contacting us

If you email us directly, we process the information you send (e.g., your email address and message) to reply.

Server logs

Our host receives basic technical data (e.g., IP address, browser, page URLs) needed to deliver and secure the site. We don’t use this to identify you.

Tickets & embedded checkout (Forbidden Tickets)

We sell tickets via an embedded Forbidden Tickets widget/checkout or by sending you to their site.

  • Who processes orders? Forbidden Tickets (and its payment processor) handles your purchase info (e.g., name, email, payment). We do not store card numbers.
  • What we receive: Limited order details (e.g., name, email, ticket type/quantity) so we can manage entry and support.
  • Learn more: See Forbidden Tickets’ privacy policy: [link].

Cookies

  • Comments convenience cookie: If you choose, we can save your name/email/website in a cookie so you don’t retype them next time (lasts 1 year).
  • Ticketing widget: The Forbidden Tickets embed/checkout may set strictly necessary/functional cookies to run the cart/checkout.
  • Admins only: WordPress may set necessary cookies for logged-in administrators.
  • No analytics or marketing cookies: We do not use analytics or advertising pixels.

Sharing your information

We do not sell personal information. We share limited data only with:

  • Service providers (hosting, security, caching/email) to operate and protect the site; and
  • Forbidden Tickets (and its payment processor) to fulfill your order.
If a spam-prevention service is enabled for comments (e.g., Akismet), comment data and IP/user-agent may be processed to detect spam.

How long we keep information

  • Comments: We keep comments and their metadata indefinitely so we can recognize and auto-approve follow-ups.
  • Emails you send us: Kept only as long as needed to respond and maintain basic records.
  • Attendee/order details (from Forbidden Tickets): Retained only as needed to run the event and for basic recordkeeping (typically up to 12 months after the event), unless law requires longer.
  • Server logs: Retained by our host for a limited period for security/troubleshooting.

Your rights

Depending on your location (e.g., California/EEA/UK), you may have rights to access or delete personal information we hold. To request this, email [your email]. For purchases, you may also contact Forbidden Tickets regarding the data they process.

Children

Our site and events are for adults 18+ and are not directed to children.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (including HTTPS and access controls). No method is 100% secure.

Changes

If we change what we collect (e.g., add analytics or new embeds), we’ll update this page.
